Middlebury College Computer Science and Multi-Use Building

Exploring the limits of a pre-engineered metal building system, cantilevers, layered skin, lustrous siding, and playful fenestration tell the viewer this flexible shed is a few generations removed from the nearby agricultural and mill buildings from which it descends. Common areas are located with large glazing to frame key views of the surrounding campus and landscape, while single windows at eye level provide views from individual spaces, and clerestory windows bring light deep into the spaces.
